  • Why has your Enforcement Officer or Bailiff called?

    An outstanding debt has been passed to us from a Local Authority/company/organisation to collect on their behalf.

  • What happens if I do not answer your correspondence, calls or visits?

    We will continue to chase the debt via a number of avenues; however this may eventually lead to one of our Enforcement Officers or Bailiffs visiting you at home or work and then further court action, Bankruptcy etc.

  • Can an arrangement be made?

    Yes, a weekly or monthly arrangement can be agreed where payment cannot be made in full. By agreeing to an arrangement, and adhering to it, no further action will be taken.

  • How can I pay?

    You can pay by post by sending a cheque to us at DCS Ltd, PO Box 1612, Bristol, BS40 5WB; alternatively, you can pay by cheque or cash at any branch of Barclays Bank via account number 50711330 and sort code 20-49-76. You must quote your reference at all times so we are able to allocate your payments to your account.

  • What happens if I default from an arrangement?

    We will prompt you either via a phone call or letter, however if you do not respond to this then an Enforcement Officer or Bailiff will attend your property with a view to enforce the debt in full. Additional costs will also be payable.

  • What charges can be applied to me?

    Charges for a Bailiff attendance are made in accordance with Government and Local Authority guidelines. Charges for administration and Enforcement Officer Costs can vary.

  • I have other debts, where can I go for help?

    Please refer to our customer debt advice centre.

  • What is an 'arrangement'?

    An arrangement is when a customer agrees to pay a specific amount at a certain time, usually weekly or monthly. By agreeing to an arrangement, and adhering to it, this would remove the necessity of further action against the customer.

  • How quickly can debt recovery of Commercial rent be initiated?

    Normally within 24 hours and in special circumstances the same day!

  • Do Commercial Property Owners have to pay any debt recovery fees?

    No! All our fees are paid by the debtor there are NO FEES charged to Property Owners relating to the recovery of Commercial rents!

  • What type of work do you do?

    We provide a full Certificated Bailiff and Enforcement Officer Service to include the recovery of Council tax and Business Rates, Parking fines; Sundry Debts and the recovery of Commercial Rents, in addition to a general debt recovery service. We also provide a Tracing and invoicing Service.
